Digital Chat Station revealed the specifications of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC in June, where it was stated that this SoC would use a 1+2+2+3 CPU configuration (Cortex-X3, 2 Cortex-A720, 2 Cortex-A710, and 3 Cortex-A510).

However, recently Ice Universe has revealed possible specifications that are different from before, where the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 uses two Cortex-A715 instead of Cortex-A720. Then, it is mentioned that the Cortex-X3 will have a clock of up to 3.2GHz, with the Cortex-A510 up to 2GHz. While the Cortex-A715 and Cortex-A710 will have a clock of up to 2.8GHz.

Furthermore, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is said to use the Adreno 740 GPU which will allow the device to be used for heavy gaming or editing, but unfortunately, there is no detailed information regarding the GPU used by this SoC.

Another rumor previously stated that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will have a variant with an ultra-high frequency with a core clock reaching 3.4-3.5GHz.

However, this information itself is still in the form of rumors that cannot be confirmed. Considering that the Snapdragon Summit 2022 will be held in one month in November, it could be that Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will be officially announced at the event. We are waiting for further information.
